Gun safe stolen in Calhoun County

A gun safe that included a number of firearms was stolen last week from a residence in Calhoun County’s Burlington Township.

Michigan State Police troopers said the incident occurred at 4:20 p.m. Thursday on P Drive South.

The suspect stole a Sentinel gun safe containing multiple firearms, ammunition and other personal items. Archery equipment and tools were also stolen.

A possible suspect vehicle seen in the area around the time of the incident. It was described as a black Hummer H3, last seen driving south on 12 mile road near R drive South.

The driver was described as a white male, in his late 20s or early 30s, and having longer brown hair.
