Constantine approves medical marijuana permit amendments

The Constantine Village Council earlier this month approved amendments to medical marijuana permits.

Permits for a grow operation and a processing center were issued Feb. 19 to Brett Thompson and Terry Rodino, co-owners of Apogee Processing.

Village manager Mark Honeysett said there are no changes proposed except for the names of the facilities. He reiterated that the owner/applicant is unchanged and the facility types remain the same.

Thompson has said the building will have extensive security. He said he is looking at 500 plants to start, then eventually go to 1,500.

Similarly, Honeysett said he had a request to amend a permit for a processing center that was issued to JTD Distribution. The owner is still Jeff Babcock but he wanted to change the name to something more in keeping with the area in which it is located.
