Four vehicle crash in Cass County

Four vehicles were involved in a crash caused by a wrong-way driver over the weekend in Cass County’s Milton Township.

The incident was reported at 4:15 a.m. Saturday on M-60 near Reum Road.

Investigators said a vehicle driving north in the southbound lane of M-60 struck a box truck driven by 23-year-old Emily Oostema. Oostema’s truck went off the roadway, causing a vehicle driven by Eric Missing, 28, of Granger, Ind., to swerve off the road and into the median.

Moments later, a semi driven by 59-year-old Danie Barton of Cassopolis also was struck by the wrong-way-driver, resulting in it overturning.

The vehicle of the wrong-way-driver, 43-year-old Tory Leroy Miller of South Bend, caught fire as he was pulled from the car.
