Jamie S. Waltemath, age 57, of Sturgis, passed away Monday afternoon, May 28, 2018, at Heartland Health Care Center in Three Rivers.
She was born May 16, 1961, in Sturgis, a daughter of the late Estol O. “Red” and Letha J. (Wagar) Conrad.
Jamie was a lifelong Sturgis resident and a graduate of Sturgis High School with the class of 1979.
On Oct. 10, 2014, she married Christopher Waltemath in Centreville.
Jamie retired in January of 2018 from Americraft Carton in Sturgis, following 37 years of dedicated employment.
Jamie had a love and appreciation for music and enjoyed bowling and had participated in league bowling for many years.
She is survived by her husband, Christopher; two sons, T.J. Harker and Zachary Kayner, both of Sturgis; a grandson, Drake “Bonk” Harker; a sister, Rusty (Jim) Earley of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; a brother, Rob Conrad of Mottville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Sandra Lee Conrad.
In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating and honoring the life of Jamie Sue Waltemath will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis. The Rev. Bob Renner of Sturgis Missionary Church will officiate. A graveside committal will follow the service at Oak Lawn Cemetery in Sturgis.
