Molly Luttman, 87

Molly B. Luttman, age 87, of Sturgis, died Monday, May 28, 2018, at her home, following an extended illness.
She was born April 10, 1931, in Sturgis, a daughter of Roscoe A. and Wilma C. (Kilbury) Bassett. She was a lifelong resident of the Sturgis and White Pigeon area.
She was a homemaker, and with her husband owned and operated Molly’s Mums. She grew a variety of flowers and was well-known for her hanging baskets. She was a talented painter, seamstress and quiltmaker for her family. She enjoyed traveling with her husband.
She was a member of Sturgis United Methodist Church.
On July 13, 1948, she married Bob G. Luttman in Sturgis. They had almost 70 years together. He was by her side constantly, seeing to her needs during her final days.
She is survived by her husband, Bob; children Barbara (Charles) Neerske, William (Jackie) Luttman, Cynthia (LaMarr) Chupp and John Luttman; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two step-granddaughters; two step-grandsons; a sister, Garnetta Kasdorf; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ilene Hahn; a niece; and a nephew.
Visitation will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018, at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Services will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Pastor Barry Edds of White Pigeon Church of Christ will officiate. Interment will follow in White Pigeon Township Cemetery. Donations may be directed to Sturgis Hospice.
