Suspect sought in Three Rivers shooting

A man was shot outside a Three Rivers party store over the weekend, according to Michigan State Police.

Troopers said the incident took place Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of Paul’s Liquor Store, in the 200 block of East Michigan Avenue.

According to authorities, four men inside the business were involved in an argument and ordered by a clerk to leave the store.

Once in the store parking lot, the argument continued until one of the men displayed a handgun and began shooting, according to investigators. It is not known how many shots were fired but one of the men was struck before he managed to get into his vehicle and drive from the scene.

The victim, whose name and age were not disclosed by authorities, sought treatment for what is being considered non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspect is being sought by authorities.
