A 3 percent raise for teachers is included in a tentative 2018-19 budget for Three Rivers Community Schools.
Its board of education this week approved the preliminary budget before discussion focused on the need for a potential millage or sinking-fund request.
The district’s need for facilities improvements are a major need, according to interim superintendent Rob Kuhlman.
Board member Pete Bennett said the overall needs for facilities improvements could fall between $10-$15 million.
The board has until Aug. 12 if it wishes to place a ballot question before voters in the November election.
