Area communities host fireworks

With the Fourth of July just a handful of days away, several local communities will once again be hosting fireworks. Sen. John Proos is once again encouraging everyone to have a safe and fun Independence Day.

“Each Independence Day, we gather with friends and family to celebrate our freedom, our country and a declaration that changed the world more than two centuries ago,” said Proos, R-St. Joseph. “Seeing the fireworks during the holiday is about as American as apple pie, and I am proud to once again offer residents a list of local fireworks shows.”

In St. Joseph County on July 4,

Colon will have fireworks at the elementary school at dusk,

Constantine will have fireworks at the Little League fields at dusk.

White Pigeon will have fireworks on July 7 as part of White Pigeon Days at the high school at dusk.
