A 36-year-old Burr Oak man, wanted on a warrant from authorities in Louisiana, was arrested earlier this week.
Sturgis Police officers stopped a vehicle at 7:15 p.m. Sunday in the 400 block of West Congress Street after realizing the person whose name to which the car was registered was wanted on the undisclosed warrant.
Officers searched the vehicle after the suspect was taken into custody and subsequently discovered a large amount of methamphetamine, authorities said.
The suspect’s name was not released, pending arraignment.
