Mendon Schools promotes two

Leasa Griffith and Bobby Kretschman have each been tabbed for promotions at Mendon Public Schools. Both are Mendon alumni.

Griffith will be the new superintendent for the district, which has 530 students. She was tabbed as the interim following the passing of Roger Rathburn in an accident last December. This year begins the 26th for Griffith at Mendon.

Kretschman, the varsity football coach for the Hornets, will take over as Junior/Senior high school principal. That vacancy was created when Marc Kramer took the superintendent job at Quincy Community Schools. This is Kretschman’s eighth year with the district; previously he was a physical education teacher and served as dean of students and as co-athletic director.
