When final figures become available, it’s likely that the 2018 Lake and Home Tour – sponsored by the Three Rivers Area Chamber of Commerce – will show it drew fewer people compared to the 2017 inaugural event.
Chamber director Christy Trammell said mid-afternoon rain Saturday was clearly the culprit.
This year’s tour was offered on Sturgeon and Palmer lakes in Colon Township, Fishers and Corey lakes in the Three Rivers area, and Klinger Lake and Lake Templene. Klinger, Palmer and Sturgeon were new this year.
Trammell said she does not have a final count of how many people took boat tours at the six lakes collectively. A year ago, the event drew about 100 people and even resulted in a few home sales.
A $10 wristband provided access to as few or many lakes as participants wished to see.
Participating Realtors this year were Berkshire Hathaway, Century 21, Remax Elite Group and Martell Realty.
