Rosella A. Newman, age 92, of Three Rivers, died Wednesday, July 25, 2018, at her home.
She was born Feb. 22, 1926, in Dowagiac, a daughter of Joseph and Luella (Probst) Szymonski. She had been a resident of the Three Rivers area since 2011, coming from Mottville, where she lived most of her life.
She was a seamstress for Denton Mills and The Lux Company when she retired.
On Oct. 8, 1949, she married Alvin J. Yoder. He died Jan. 19, 1986. She then married Clayton Newman, who also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two daughters, Anna Marie (Robert) Eubank of Dowagiac and Frances Juday of Sturgis; a son, Tom (Marty) Lee of Cassopolis; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marie Hemingway of Decatur, Doris Bishop of Lansing and Nancy Dohm of Dowagiac; a brother, John Szymonski of New Underwood, S.D.; two sons, Ronald E. Yoder and Richard J. Yoder; and five brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 28, 2018, at the funeral home. Pastor Ken Gill of Fairhaven Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Mottville Township Cemetery.
