Kate Clark, 97

Kathryn H. “Kate” Clark, age 97, a lifelong Sturgis resident, passed away Friday, Aug. 24, 2018, at Thurston Woods Village.
She was born Aug. 22, 1921, in Sturgis, Mich., a daughter to the late Roger M. and Helen (Froh) Sturgis.
On June 29, 1941, in Coldwater, she married Loran J. Clark who preceded her in death in October of 1984.
Kathryn was employed by the Kirsch Company in Sturgis from July 1953 to retirement in February of 1980. She also worked for Weight Watchers for over 10 years.
She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Burr Oak.
Surviving are one son Roy L. (Alana) Clark and one daughter: Judy Kay Norris both of Sturgis; five grandchildren, Chad (Stephanie) Clark, Matthew (Dena) Clark, Stacy (Shane) Hamil, Jolane (Dan) Conklin, and Shari (Andrew) Dalrymple; eight great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son-in-law Shirley Norris; and one step-grandson.
Friends and relative may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018, at the Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 807 E. Chicago Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091.
A Memorial Service will follow visitation at 11 a.m. Thursday, at the funeral home with The Rev. Kurt Kuhlmann and Pastor Glenn Russell, officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be directed to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 218 W. Main St. Burr Oak, MI 49030. The Rosenberg Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes has been entrusted with the arrangements.
