Georganne Lewis, age 78, of Colon, passed away Sunday, Sept. 16, 2018, at her home, surrounded by her family.
Georganne was born Nov. 30, 1939, in Cincinnati, a daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Howe) Fisher.
She married Michael Lewis and he preceded her in death.
Georganne was a registered nurse and had worked as a nurse all her working career.
She had made her home in Colon the past 11 years coming from St. Lucia Island in the Caribbean. She was an active member of Centreville United Methodist Church, was a member of Colon Garden Club and enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by three children, Darla (Forrest) Vollrath of Chicago, Keith Lewis and Kevin (Amy) Lewis, both of Costa Mesa, Calif., four grandchildren; two brothers, Frank (Marie) Fisher of Colon and Richard (Linda) Fisher of Lexington, Ky.; several nieces and nephews and her special friend and companion, Art Rice.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. The family was assisted by Schipper Funeral Home in Colon.
