Schoolcraft boil water order lifted

A boil-water order in Schoolcraft was lifted last week, about 24 hours after the advisory was posted.

Village officials said the order was lifted Thursday evening.

It was put in effect Wednesday after an outside contractor inadvertently shut off the water-supply valve to the village’s system. Precautionary measures were taken, as the loss of water pressure had the potential for bacteria to develop.
