White Pigeon hit-and-run investigated

A hit-and-run incident, in which the vehicle that was hit fled the scene, was reported to sheriff’s officials last week.

The incident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. Wednesday on Hillandale Road in White Pigeon Township, where the driver of a vehicle stated her vehicle struck the rear of a car in front of her.

She described the fleeing vehicle as a small, older-model, four-door with Michigan registration. It was last seen heading west on U.S. 12 and likely has black paint transfer on its back end.
