Michael Bordner, 72

Michael Eric Bordner, age 72, of Sturgis, passed away Saturday afternoon, Oct. 13, 2018, at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo.
He was born Jan. 29, 1946, in St. Joseph County, a son of the late Earl B. and Amy (Anderson) Bordner.
He is survived by his wife, Tonya (Davis) Bordner; his children, Amy Pace of Monroe, Phillip Bowen of Warren and Karena (David) Bailey of Mooresville, N.C.; seven grandchildren; two sisters, Laura (John) Klingler of Sturgis and Jean Bordner of Florida; two brothers, Benjamin Bordner and Monte (Robin) Bordner, both of Sturgis; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bruce Bordner; and two nephews, Marc Mead and Michael Mead.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Private burial of the ashes will take place at Burr Oak Cemetery in Burr Oak.
The Hackman Chapel of Hackman Family Funeral Homes, 114 S. Nottawa St., Sturgis, is entrusted with arrangements.
