Search begins for Sturges-Young Auditorium director

Brad Donmyer, executive director of Sturges-Young Auditorium, will retire at the end of the year, municipal officials announced this week.

City manager Mike Hughes said a job description should be available by the end of the week and interviews likely to take place in December.

The search committee will include Hughes, city controller Holly Keyser and auditorium board president Liz Whitehead.

As the focus of the executive director position will change to programming, a full- time position for food operations is being considered, Hughes noted.

A meeting with Donmyer to discuss the transition plan was set for this week.
