Marietta Abston, 78

Marietta Louise Abston, age 78, of Howe, Ind., died on Monday, Nov. 19, 2018, at her home.
Mrs. Abston was the first-born child to Ralph Nicholas and Florence Marietta (Howard) Burgi on March 8, 1940, in Sturgis.
For 35 years, Mrs. Abston taught elementary school. She was very active in her community with various civic and social organizations along with being an active member of the Episcopal Church.
Surviving is her devoted and loving husband Ralph LeRoy Abston; her two daughters and sons-in-law, Kimberly and David Lytle of Sturgis and Kristina and Bradd Morse of Fishers, Ind.; her grandchildren and their spouses, Ryan and Abby Lytle of Groves, Texas, Mary and Reid Rains of South Hutchinson, Kan., Anna and Clayton Wonsetler of Hutchinson, Kan., Maxwell Morse of Fishers, Ind., and Alexander Morse of Fishers, Ind.; a great-granddaughter, Madison Jane Lytle of Groves, Texas; her other family members, Nicholas Abston and his daughters, Stella and Sophia, Christian Abston, and Yvette and Brandon Johnson and their daughter, Tahlia.
According to Marietta’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a private memorial service will be held.
Frurip-May Funeral Home in LaGrange is handling the arrangements.
