Stephen M. Snyder, age 57, of Kalamazoo, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2018, at his home.
He was born Feb. 20, 1961, in Three Rivers, a son of Ralph A. and Harriet J. (Hutton) Snyder. He was a 1979 graduate of White Pigeon High School, where he was on the cross country track team and played french horn in the band. He was a Kalamazoo resident for the past 30 years, coming from White Pigeon. He was employed as church organist and a janitor. He enjoyed music and opera.
Surviving are his father and stepmother, Ralph (Elsie) Snyder of Middleburg, Ind.; sisters Jody (Gerald) Bontrager of Elkhart, Marsha (Dee) Davis of Osceola; special friend Tom Sage of Kalamazoo; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother; and brothers Ralph and Paul.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2018, at Farrand Funeral Home in White Pigeon. Cremation will follow. Private interment of cremains will be held at a later date in White Pigeon Township Cemetery. Donations may be directed to Western Michigan University for medical research.
