Teresa Doehring is wrapping up her first full year as county administrator and by all indications, the five-member board of commissioners is pleased with her effort.
The 44-year-old Doehring received a contract renewal and a 2 percent raise in the capacity of the county’s highest, non-elected position. Both matters were approved unanimously by county commissioners last week.
A lifelong Mendon-area resident, Doehring said she is grateful commissioners think enough of her to keep her on board another year and with a higher salary.
Doehring, whose 2019 salary will be $97,000, is an at-will employee.
She was hired in January 2015 as the county’s human resources director and eventually took on the role of assistant county administrator. She became administrator full time after Pat Yoder retired a year ago and is the county’s third administrator since the position was created in 1991.
