The St. Joseph County Transportation Authority has announced it will once again offer the Free Ride Home courtesy shuttle service New Year’s Eve.
The service will start at 10 p.m. Monday and conclude at 4 a.m. Jan. 1. Rides will be limited to and from locations within St. Joseph County.
Event organizers said rides will be given only to a passenger’s home and not to a business or party. Also, advance reservations are not accepted.
A record sixteen sponsors are helping with a financial commitment to ensure the program is able to return for the 10th time in 11 years.
The number for the vehicle based in Three Ricers is 816-0381, while the vehicle based in Sturgis will be available by phoning 816-0284.
