Three people were injured in an accident last week in Branch County’s Ovid Township.
State police said the incident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Angola Road and Central Road.
A 43-year-old female was eastbound on Central Road and disregarded the stop sign. Her vehicle collided with a car driven by a 43-year-old man who was southbound on Angola Road.
The impact forced his vehicle off the road and into several trees. The initial impact also caused the first vehicle to collide with a third vehicle, driven by a 24-year-old woman who been travelling northbound on Angola Road.
The at-fault driver was found unconscious and airlifted to Parkview Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
Both of the other drivers sustained minor injuries and were going to seek their own treatment. Authorities said neither drugs nor alcohol are suspected to be factors in the incident.
