Names released in deadly house fire

Kalamazoo County Medical Examiner’s Office has released the names of two people who died in last week’s house fire in White Pigeon.

Authorities said 35-year-old Jessica Gould, who was pregnant with a girl, died in the early-morning blaze Tuesday along with a 7-year-old boy, Lonnie Bingaman. Bingaman was a first-grade student at Central Elementary in White Pigeon.

They were two of 13 people who lived in the residence, located in the 100 block of West Chicago Avenue. The victims were found on the second floor.

Authorities said there’s a chance that electrical issues were a possible cause of the fire.
