Family members of Venus Stewart will finally have closure this weekend (December 15, 2018).
According to Schipper Funeral Home in Colon, a graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at Leonidas Cemetery.
Stewart’s remains were found in October after her estranged husband, Doug Stewart, led authorities to the location in a wooded area south of Fulton.
Venus was 32 when she was reported missing in April 2010 from her parents’ home in Colon Township, where she had been living after separating from her husband.
Doug Stewart was found guilty of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first degree murder in March 2011.
