Winning scratch-off sold in Edwardsburg

A gas station in Cass County recently sold a $300,000 winning scratch-off lottery ticket.

According to a Michigan Lottery press release, a 53-year-old woman bought the ticket at Edwardsburg Marathon.

The woman, who sought anonymity, purchased the ticket 25th anniversary Wild Time instant game.

She said she scratched the tickets when she got home. After scratching the Wild Time ticket, she tossed it on the table, unaware of her good fortune. She said her nephew glanced at the ticket and noticed the winning symbol.

She said she plans to set up college funds for her grandkids and put the rest in savings.
