Amanda “Amy” Dawn McEntire, 42, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 23,2019 losing her battle with congestive heart failure at Bronson Hospital in Kalamazoo.
Amy was born on October 7, 1976 in Niles. A strong-willed and spirited child, Amy was fiercely independent and always out to show the world she could do anything; and she did. She was a woman of many talents including welding, gardening, fishing, crafting, and cooking. Amy was an avid animal lover and had a menagerie of animals over the years: birds, ferrets, a chinchilla, fish, hamsters, her beloved cats: Gibson, Marley, Seven, and Azara; and some of the greatest joys of her life, her dogs: Daisy, Zoey, Pyper, and Kya.
Amy loved to laugh and no one could tell a story like her. Above all Amy will be remembered for the humor, love, and friendship she brought to this world. Amy was such a great friend to so many and was the fiercest champion for all her friends.
She was preceded in death by her Grandparents: Donald & Marion Pieper, Claire Pieper, and Charles & Rosemary Sears and her beloved cousin: Ryan Pieper.
Amy is survived by and will be lovingly remembered by her best friend and fiancé of 25 years: Mike Mirras; her parents: Charles & Phyllis Sears; her biological father: Danny McEntire; her brothers: James McEntire and Brian Mirras; sisters: Rachael (Jason) Burns and Sara (Jeff) Glide, and Shari (Paul) Preston; her beloved niece and nephews: Faust, Serene and Kaid Glide; Her Aunt: Georgia Outman; Her Uncle: Tom (Audie) Pieper; and cousins: Erik Pieper, Holly Barbour, Cam Leitz, Buck Hickman, Laurelin Outman, Thomas Outman, and Bobby Outman. Amy was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all her family and friends.
In accordance with the family’s wishes cremation has taken place and a public memorial service will be held at Hohner Funeral Home of Three Rivers, on Saturday, February 2, 2019 with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m. Following the service the family has invited friends for a time of food and fellowship at the U.A.W. Hall at 15802 Hoffman Rd, Three Rivers, MI 49093.
