Norma Hartman, 94

Norma Jacqualyn (Berger) Hartman, age 94, of Marcellus, passed away late Monday night on January 28, 2019.

Norma was born October 7, 1924, in Three Rivers, the daughter of Clarence and Elsie (Welty) Berger.

On May 25, 1946, she married Jack C. Hartman, in Three Rivers. Together they had four children; two sons: Paul Hartman of Marcellus and Peter (Deborah) Hartman of Sun City Center, FL, and two daughters: Jacqualyn K. Hartman of Three Rivers, and Ruth Ann Hartman.

Also surviving are Norma’s five grandchildren: Laurie and Lance Hartman, Kimberly, Shannon, and RuthAnn Rains, ten great-grandchildren, six great great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and special friends Mable, Mary, and Thelma.

Norma graduated from Three Rivers High School and pursued a career at Continental Can Company in Three Rivers, for 35 years before retiring. She enjoyed getting together with her friends participating in bowling leagues, going to the casino, traveling to the Upper Peninsula, and to their cabin in Minnesota. She enjoyed spending her time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and taking trips with her brother Jim to Saugatuck.

Norma was preceded in death by loving husband Jack C. Hartman, one daughter: Ruth Ann Hartman, one brother: James Berger, special cousin: Doris Underhill.

The family will welcome friends for visitation on Saturday, February 2, 2019, from 12 noon to 1:00 PM, at Mater-Ralston Funeral Home in Marcellus with a memorial service to follow at 1:00 PM. Pastor John Messner from the Marcellus Methodist Church will be officiating. A private burial of cremains will be at a later date.
