Three Rivers turns in snow day waiver

Three Rivers Community Schools has turned in to the state a forgiveness waiver that, if approved, would nix three of the 10 days it has canceled school this year.

Superintendent Ron Moag said the waiver is a standard form that will be considered by the Michigan Department of Education. The intent is to make up as few classes as necessary beyond the currently scheduled final day of June 7.

Moag said the district is allowed six snow days each year. If the request is granted, the district would have only one day to makeup, pending any other cancellations from today onward.
