TrineOnline offers enhanced path to degrees for students

Trine University is enhancing and expanding its online degree programs with the launch of TrineOnline, a new approach designed to be convenient and cost-effective for students seeking to complete an associate’s, bachelor’s or master’s degree.

The launch comes a month after Trine was recognized by US News and World Report in its annual listing of Best Online Programs.

TrineOnline will be offered locally through the university’s education center in Centreville, located at 62249 Shimmel Rd. A new TrineOnline division will eventually be headquartered in Fort Wayne, with additional staff to support online operations.

“TrineOnline offers a convenient, cost-effective way for students to complete their degree online, supported by our solid technology infrastructure in Fort Wayne and the academic excellence of Trine University,” said John Shannon, Ph.D., vice president for academic affairs. “This new innovation is a key component of Trine University’s ongoing investment in our Centreville education center and its surrounding community, as we continue to develop better methods of serving students throughout this region.”

Offering professionally focused associate, bachelor’s and master’s degrees entirely online, TrineOnline is designed to fit the schedules of those who are in the workforce. New classes begin every eight weeks, and degrees are able to be completed in as little as a year, or at a slower pace if preferred.

TrineOnline offers comprehensive academic support, with unlimited access to academic tutors, available online any time day or night, as well as personal attention from dedicated faculty. Students enrolled in TrineOnline also gain access to Trine University’s Career Services, with continued support after graduation. Trine University graduates have a more than 99 percent employment rate over the past several years.

“TrineOnline offers all the support of an established university with 135 years of history — the fastest-growing private university in Indiana — to help today’s student take the next step in their career path,” said Shannon.

TrineOnline continues Trine University’s generous transfer credit policies, which, combined with already affordable tuition rates and no hidden fees, allow online students to keep costs to a minimum. For instance, a student transferring the maximum 90 credit hours can complete a bachelor’s degree for around $12,000.

In addition, some programs allow students to earn graduate credit while completing their undergraduate degree.
