White Pigeon School Board considers CTE millage

White Pigeon Community Schools Board of Education members discussed a request from St. Joseph County Intermediate School District regarding a Career and Technical Education millage.

The ISD is asking school districts countywide if they are in favor of putting on the ballot a request for no more than one mill to support CTE in St. Joseph County.

White Pigeon school board members Wednesday indicated they are not opposed to putting the issue on the ballot.

Board president Dan Cropsey said one mill would raise about $330,000 annually in the district. About 30 White Pigeon students currently participate in CTE.
