Woman arrested on multiple charges after traffic stop

An Indiana woman was arrested for second-offense drunken driving last week after a citizen noticed her erratic driving pattern and notified authorities.

State police said troopers were advised through central dispatch of the reckless driver at 7 p.m. Saturday on U.S. 12. The vehicle was stopped at the intersection of South Centerville Road in Sturgis.

Troopers found that the 42-year-old South Bend woman did not have a valid driver’s license and that the 2017 Chevrolet Sonic she was driving was reported stolen Friday out of South Bend.

She faces both felony and misdemeanor charges, according to troopers.
