Idella Troyer, 87

Idella Katherine Troyer, age 87, of Sturgis, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Thurston Woods Village.
She was born Oct. 10, 1931 in Miami County, Indiana a daughter to the late Willard and Norma (Miller) Sommers.
Idella moved to Sturgis in August of 2000 from LaGrange, Indiana.
On Nov. 25, 1962 she married Wilbur Jay Troyer. He preceded her in death Aug. 24, 1996.
Idella received her LPN degree in Nursing from Lajunta, Colorado and was employed at Sturgis Hospital for several years. She also enjoyed working hard on the farm with her husband Wilbur before his passing.
She was a member of Calvary Chapel in Sturgis and a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, quilting, reading, puzzles, and traveling.
Surviving are 8 children: Ronald (Susan) Troyer of Milwaukee, Willard (Connie) Troyer of Elkhart, Robert (Gloria) Troyer of Houston, Sharon (Larry) Schlabach of Topeka, IN, Linda (Fred) Roy of Ligonier, Rosemary (Joseph) Greenlee of Wolcotville, Daniel (Annell) Troyer of LaGrange, and Dawn (David) Miller of Rome City, IN; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son: Jeffrey Lynn Troyer; 2 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchilden; 3 sisters: Waneta Cutrell, Mary Erb , and Bonnie Ratzloff.
The family will receive friends and relatives from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M., Sunday, and on Monday from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Calvary Chapel, 66969 N. Centreville Rd., Sturgis, MI 49091.
Services celebrating the life of Idella K. Troyer will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, immediately following the visitation at Calvary Chapel.
Interment and Graveside services will be held at 5:00 P.M., Monday, at Shore Cemetery in Shipshewana, IN.
