A Three Rivers man was injured after he was involved in a single-vehicle accident earlier this week in Florence Township.
State troopers were called at 11:10 p.m. Sunday to the 63000 block of Lutz Road in response to a Jeep that had crashed into a tree.
The 22-year-old driver told authorities he was driving south on Lutz Road when his vehicle crossed the center line and continued off the roadway before it collided with a tree.
The driver, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, told authorities he had swerved his vehicle to avoid striking a deer.
He was treated at Three Rivers Health. Investigators said alcohol and drugs are believed to be possible factors in the crash.
