Armstrong Park will be the name of the still-under-construction multi-field sports complex in Three Rivers.
A recent donation by the Armstrong and Bloss families will favorably shape youth and adult recreation, economic development, and the quality of life in the Three Rivers community for generations to come, according to Patrick Armstrong, Armstrong’s chairman of the board.
Armstrong announced the naming rights to company employees Thursday.
To date, more than $5.4 million has been raised in both public and private dollars for the development, situated between North Main Street and Buckhorn Road.
Armstrong said what started out as a vision for area youth has grown into a place where all residents and guests will be able to engage in a variety of activities in one spot.
In addition to the athletic fields, the facility will have two pickleball courts, a nine-hole disc golf course, playground, family pavilion, concessions building and a walking trail.
The first phase of the park is expected to open in August.
