Traffic stop leads to drug arrest in Sturgis

A Sturgis man was charged with a drug-related offense after the vehicle he was driving was stopped over the weekend.

Sturgis police said officers conducted the stop for a minor infraction shortly before 10 p.m. Friday near the intersection of North Nottawa and West streets.

Officers became suspicious of the 28-year-old driver and subsequently found he was driving on a suspended license. A further investigation found that the man was in possession of methamphetamine, police said.
