Cass County deputies responded to a three-vehicle crash earlier this week in Newberg Township.
Sheriff Richard Behnke said the incident occurred shortly after 9 a.m. Tuesday on M-60 between M-40 and Wood Lake Road.
Investigators said a westbound semi struck a vehicle turning left in front of it. The impact of the collision pushed the turning car into oncoming traffic, causing it to strike an eastbound vehicle.
Semi driver James Motycka, 52 of Vicksburg, was not injured in the crash.
The first vehicle struck was operated by 69-year-old Marcellus resident Laurene Preis. She was airlifted to Kalamazoo for injuries sustained in the crash.
The second car was operated by Jennifer Jercha, 42 of Jones. Jercha was transported for medical treatment.
