A one-vehicle accident earlier this week in Cass County’s Wayne Township seriously injured a Marcellus man.
Sheriff Richard Behnke said deputies were called at 7 a.m. Wednesday to Glenwood Road, in an area north of Marcellus Highway, in response to a personal-injury accident.
Deputies said 39-year-old Jon Harwood was injured after he lost control of the car he was driving north on Glenwood Road. The vehicle, which authorities said was being driven at a high rate of speed, left the roadway and struck a tree.
Harwood was extricated from the vehicle and transported to South Bend Memorial Hospital.
