Mr. Gale Lamont Thompson, age 79, of Three Rivers, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at his home. He was born in Gratiot Township, Lansing, MI the son of the late Lester and Una (Litwiller) Thompson.
Mr. Thompson has been a long time resident of Three Rivers where he was employed as a shipping clerk for Johnson Corporation now Kadant for over thirty years. Gale’s true passion and love was spending time with his family and friends while preserving and sharing family history. He also enjoyed watching old Western movies on television and taking drives in the country.
Gale was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Munroe and one brother, Lester Thompson.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory, one son, Gary Thompson; one daughter, Deborah Thompson, both of Three Rivers; three grandsons, Brandon and Samuel Lewis, Cody (Jenny) Huyck; two beloved great-grandchildren, Hadley and Jackson Huyck; three sisters, Ramona Lemieux, of Edwardsburg, Loretta (Harold) Lash, of Vicksburg, and Carolyn (Dave) Kaylor, of Three Rivers; also one sister-in-law, Nancy Thompson of Nottawa.
Per Mr. Thompson’s wishes cremation will take place and private services will be held at a later time at Moorepark Cemetery.
