Glen Oaks Community College Board of Trustees voted last week to increase tuition and fees for the 2019-20 year
Bruce Zakrzewski, dean of finance, said a 3 percent tuition increase and a $1 increase on the student activity fee will be imposed beginning in the fall. There will be some changes to course fees, particularly in nursing, he added.
With the changes, in-district tuition will be $123 per semester contact hour; service area tuition to $153 per semester contact hour; in-state tuition to $187 per semester contact hour; out-of-state tuition to $222 per semester contact hour; and international tuition to $268 per semester contact hour.
The revised student-activity fee will be up to $5 per contact hour.
Course fees are also up in eight nursing and one allied health anywhere from $10 to $40.
