The Cass County Sheriff’s Department is asking for help in locating a man who has been reported missing.
Authorities said Larry Waldschmidt, 78, has been missing since last Wednesday from his home in Dowagiac. Once aware of the situation, family members immediately consulted the sheriff ’s department for assistance.
Waldschmidt was most recently seen working in his yard about 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. It is believed he may have gotten into the family vehicle and drove off.
Authorities said Waldschmidt suffers from medical issues and is without his medication, identification or money.
Waldschmidt is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs 240 pounds. He has gray hair and blue eyes. He may have left in a white, 2002 Ford Escape with Michigan plate number ARW421.
He was wearing gray sweat pants, a gray sweatshirt and black tennis shoes.
