Four people were hurt in a two-car crash Wednesday on Banker Street, just east of Sevison Road, in Florence Township.
Troopers from Michigan State Police were called at 4:38 p.m. in response to a head-on collision between a westbound Chevy Monte Carlo and an eastbound Ford Ranger.
According to a department media release, the Monte Carlo was driven by a 48-year-old Burr Oak man. Its passengers were a 46-year-old Three Rivers man and a 43-year-old Sturgis woman. The Ranger was driven by a 29-year-old Centreville man.
Personnel from Constantine Fire Department had to extricate three people in all; one person was airlifted to a Kalamazoo hospital.
Authorities said alcohol and the lack of seatbelt usage appear to have contributed to the crash and its extent of injuries.
