Nancy Ann (Clayton) Hipelius, age 87, of Lawton, passed away Tuesday morning, April 23, 2019.
Nancy was born in Chicago on March 24, 1932, the daughter of Henry and Laura (Himan) Clayton.
She married Carl Robert Hipelius in 1955. They were married for 49 years before Carl sorrowfully passed away in August of 2004. Together, they had three children: Laurie A. Hipelius of Lawton, Carl Hipelius of Portage, IN, and David (Sue) Hipelius of New Lenox, IL, who survive.
Nancy is also survived by six grandchildren: Carol (Jamie) Beard and Marie Mitchell, Carl Jr. and Lauren Hipelius, Lisa and Stephanie Hipelius, and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy enjoyed being outdoors. She loved working in her flower gardens, puzzles, playing and teaching her grandchildren card games, and sitting on the beach at Gravel Lake. She loved watching her grandchildren and just being around family and friends.
Nancy is preceded in death by both of her loving parents: Henry and Laura Clayton, one brother: Joe Clayton and one sister: Helen Doyle.
