A 19-year-old Sturgis man was arrested on a charge of domestic assault following an incident last week in Sturgis.
Officers were notified by Sturgis Hospital staff at 3:30 p.m. Saturday that a patient was being treated for what appeared to be injuries caused by a domestic situation.
Police went to the residence, located in the 300 block of West West Street, and arrested the man for felony domestic violence involving strangulation.
