Three Rivers begins hydrant flushing

The Three Rivers Department of Public Services will start its biannual hydrant flushing this morning.

DPS director Amy Roth said she expects flushing to continue through May 17. Roth noted that flushing will occur 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, Monday through Friday.

Due to many variables, Roth said she is not able to determine the exact date crews will be in each district, but the work will start in the city’s First District, followed by Fourth, Second and Third districts.

Roth asks resident to be aware that some rusty water may be experienced during the process. Any prolonged problems should be reported to DPS at 273-1845.
