Traffic stop leads to arrests

Two people were arrested on drug-related offenses following a traffic stop earlier this week in Sturgis.

Officers stopped the vehicle at 1:25 a.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of North Street for the driver’s suspicious behavior.

During the course of their investigation, officers discovered a subject gave false identification. As a result, the suspect, a 35-year-old man from Mendon was charged with delivery of methamphetamine and false ID, police said.

A 33-year-old woman from Litchfield was charged with possession of methamphetamine, according to authorities.
