Traffic stop leads to drug arrests

A pair of Centreville residents was arrested on drug-related offenses earlier this week following a traffic stop.

A deputy from the St. Joseph County Sheriff’s Department stopped the vehicle at 6 p.m. Monday in the 100 block of East Main Street in Centreville.

The driver was found to be operating a vehicle while on a suspended license. In addition, he was wanted on a felony warrant out of Illinois.

Deputies also noticed a female passenger in possession of heroin. A search of the vehicle yielded an additional amount of heroin and drug paraphernalia, according to authorities.
