After 34 years working in the field of firefighting, Three Rivers Fire Chief Carl Holcomb has announced he is hanging up his boots, hat and gear.
Holcomb this week said his retirement will be effective July 31. He has been chief of the Three Rivers department the past five years.
Holcomb said he has enjoyed a long and rewarding career in firefighting. Ending his career as the community’s fire chief, Holcomb said, is a proud accomplishment.
Holcomb said he looks forward spending quality time with family, friends and loved ones, while splitting time between Southwest Michigan and Northern Michigan.
