Police identify man who brandished a handgun

Authorities plan to seek charges against a 35-year-old Indiana man who brandished a handgun Sunday at the Shell gas station in White Pigeon.

Police said central dispatch was advised around 5 p.m. that a man was begging for gas money. He then brandished a gun at the store’s clerks before he fled the scene.

Officers viewed security video footage, and with the assistance of employees, the suspect was positively identified.

Police will issue a warrant for the man’s arrest.
