The Dowagiac Secretary of State office will close at the end of the day Tuesday and move to a temporary location seven miles south, while its current building is remodeled.
The project involves roof replacement and work on the building’s exterior, and is expected to be completed in August.
During the relocation closure from June 12 to 14, customers are encouraged to complete their transactions online at ExpressSOS.com or consider visiting a branch office in Niles, Benton Harbor or Paw Paw.
The Dowagiac office will resume normal service at 9 a.m. June 17 at its temporary location in the administrative offices of Lewis Cass Intermediate School District in Cassopolis.
